Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993 and director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized for pioneering the study of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in the legal setting. Prof. Goodman has published extensively she has received grants from numerous sources and received many international and national distinctions. She has consulted with various nations and organizations around the world on policies as well as the study of child victimization in the court system. She serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of several professional associations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families policy and practice.
