Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known as Ashanti was born on October 13, the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She's a performer and an actress who hails from in the United States. Ashanti became famous as a teenager. The year 2002 was when she signed with Murder Inc. Records. In the same year, she made an appearance on Fat Joe's What's Luv? song and Ja Rule's Always on Time track, both of which became massive hits. With Foolish and What's Luv as the top two songs, she became the first female artist to be featured in two tracks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart top Ten in the United States. The track What's Luv!
